1. The title! Of course, no one should judge a book by its cover—but come on, this one is genius. From the minute we first heard The Girl With The Lower Back Tattoo, we knew this was going to jump right to the top of our must-read list.

2. We want to see Schumer's vulnerable side. The comedienne is said to open up and candidly discusses topics including the difficulties of fame, her experiences with physical and emotional abuse, her parent's divorce, and her father's illness. As readers, we get to see a new more personal side of Schumer, who is notoriously goofy and extroverted.

3. The sex! The drinking! The one-night stands! We've all heard the stories, but is Schumer as wild as she makes herself out to be on stage? We want to know. “I’m so sorry to disappoint anyone who thinks I walk around at all times with a margarita in one hand and a dildo in the other,” Amy notes at the start of the book. “Maybe the misunderstanding comes from the fact that onstage, I group together all my wildest, worst sexual memories—which is a grand total of about five experiences over the course of thirty-five years.”

4. We want to know more about how she got her start. The comedy clubs, late night gigs—we want to know about the years Schumer spent trying to make it. She shares tales of performing at comedy clubs for work, and talks about the importance of hard work and never turning down the opportunity to put yourself out there.

5. She discusses important issues, too, including domestic abuse and gun violence. Because the writer has dealt with both of these issues on a personal level, she takes some time to discuss the importance of advocating for both  causes, and what we can do to stop them. Sign us up.

6. We want the tea! Schumer is known for spilling the tea and telling it how it is. We can't get enough of her ability to tell candid stories, and her propensity for calling people out on their shit—and we have little doubt that her new collection of essays is filled with both.

7. Self-love proves to be one of the core themes. “I’ve experienced a lot of desperation and self-doubt, but in a way, I’ve come full circle," writes Schumer. "I know my worth. I embrace my power. I say if I’m beautiful. I say if I’m strong. You will not determine my story. I will.” You go, Amy!

8. It's endorsed by Tilda Swinton, one of our favorite people ever. “Amy’s got your back," says the actress and Trainwreck co-star. "She’s in your corner. She’s an honesty bomb. And she’s coming for you.” (Side note: did you know that Swinton based her character on fashion legend and V contributor Carine Roitfeld? Gag!)

The Girl With The Lower Back Tattoo is available now on Amazon.com.
