In a fusion of athletic prowess and avant-garde design, Adidas and Yohji Yamamoto propel us into the future with the launch of the Spring/Summer 2024 Chapter 2 collection for their Y-3 partnership. Continuing to dive into the concept of Contra-Natural, this latest chapter encapsulates the essence of the Y-3 ethos: a harmonious clash of contrasts, seamlessly blending sportswear with boundary-pushing innovation.

At the heart of the launch lies a meticulously curated selection of apparel, where refined cotton twill workwear meets reimagined sporting classics. Overshirts, cargo pants, and tops are infused with utility elements such as pockets and adjustable hems, exuding both subtlety and boldness.

The iconic adidas Superstar Tracksuit undergoes a transformative evolution, adorned with topographical map piping, while soccer jersey-inspired garments bear digital rust prints, drawing inspiration from the organic process of oxidation. Complementing the apparel range are signature accessories including nylon backpacks, totes, and holdalls, each embodying the fusion of functionality and style synonymous with Y-3.

Venturing into footwear, Y-3 unveils an expressive array of silhouettes that reimagines Adidas’ performance running technology through Yohji Yamamoto’s visionary lens. Leading the pack is the Y-3 PRIME X 2 STRUNG, a bold reinterpretation of Adidas’ pinnacle running silhouette, alongside the Y-3 ADIOS PRO 3.0 in three striking colorways.

Shot by the renowned Francis Plumber and styled by Robbie Spencer, the campaign captures the spirit of freedom, liberation, and lightness as freerunners navigate the urban landscape with grace and determination.
