As part of its 30th-anniversary celebrations, LA-based eyewear brand Oliver Peoples has created a capsule collection in collaboration with contemporary French eyewear brand Alain Mikli. Both have a decades-long history of making innovative shades that go on to define a generation. Who could possibly forget Alain Mikli's slatted shades made internationally famous by Kanye West?

Here, the two combine aesthetic signatures for a truly summery capsule—just in time to hit the beach or jet set somewhere tropical. Fittingly, Mikli reintroduces a palm tree pattern, "Palmier," first created in 1987, to two Oliver Peoples sunglass styles: Gregory Peck and Remick. Opting out of the traditional photography campaign, the two have tapped illustrator Juanjo Villalba Bermudez to create a series of drawings that highlight what makes each pair of sunglasses unique.
