London electronic duo AlunaGeorge released their new single “Mean What I Mean,” featuring guest rappers Dreezy and Leikeli47. The track premiered on Annie Mac’s BBC radio program, and is the latest single of AlunaGeorge's forthcoming album I Remember, which includes "I'm In Control" and "My Blood."

Behind unexpected pop sounds lies lyrics that come from “a very genuine place,” according to singer Aluna Francis in her radio interview with Mac. “All you’ve gotta do is listen. I mean what I mean when I say no, I try to be mean when I say no, so don’t play the fool and twist the rules,” she sings, reiterating that “no” means “no” in a world full of people that sometimes thinks it means the opposite.

AlunaGeorge’s second album, I Remember, is set for a September 16 release from Interscope Records. You can listen to the track and interview below. You can also catch AlunaGeorge on the road opening for Sia, as well as performing at various worldwide festivals: Forecastle, Pukkelpop, Lollapalooza, and Panorama.
