In a somewhat more organic setting than their usual environments, AlunaGeorge venture to the eerie, scorching sands of a desert for their latest music video. The clip for “Mean What I Mean,” released today, follows Aluna Francis liberally dancing between the dusty structures of an abandoned waterpark chanting “There probably isn’t any 3G in the middle of the Californian desert, is there?’

Indeed, the cinematography emulates the very sentiments of detachment embedded in the song. The scene is dusty, dusk-lit and bellows an airy freedom. As always, the choreography is sharp and snappy, with Aluna and her squad of energetic backing dancers styled in glammed-up streetwear. To spice things up even more, the video features guests Leikeli47 and Dreezy, and offers a tantalizing teaser of what’s to come on the electronic duo’s forthcoming second album. I Remember is due to be released on September 16.
