Joseph Altuzarra is the latest American fashion house to announce that he's moving his shows to Paris. Following in the footsteps of Thom Browne, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler, and sister designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte, Altuzarra clarified on Instagram that this has been a long time coming:

“I was born and raised in Paris, and the city holds a very deep personal significance for me," he wrote. "This has been a dream of mine since the very beginning, and now the time feels right. I am honored to be invited by La Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode to show in my hometown of Paris.”

The fashion week circuit has experienced several shakeups as some designers have been opting to forgo the process entirely, releasing fashion films instead, or introducing see-now-buy-now shows, with varying success. New York Fashion Week has lost more designers than the other major cities (Paris, London, Milan), however. It was also the last to launch its own menswear circuit, so it's not surprising that designers are flocking to the cities that more readily embrace them.
