After having a few days to begin processing the bombing outside her concert in Manchester, Ariana Grande has released a lengthy statement. "The compassion, kindness, love, strength and oneness that you've shown one another this past week is the exact opposite of the heinous intentions it must take to pull off something as evil as what happened Monday. YOU are the exact opposite," she says.

Further, the singer urges her fans to not let violence divide them. "Our response to this violence must be to come closer together, to help each other, to love more, to sing louder and to live more kindly and generously than we did before." She follows that plea up with a promise to return to Manchester, for a benefit concert to support the victims and families of the attack. The details of that event are to come. Her tour remains suspended.
