The Balmain Army is back with its new campaign for Fall 2016. Photographed by Steven Klein with art direction by Pascal Dangin, the premier image from the campaign stars supermodel Joan Smalls and rapper turned designer Kanye West and is being referred to as "Music Meets Fashion," per the words of creative director Olivier Rousteing. The label released two teaser videos alongside the campaign's first image to visualize the sharp aesthetic. Each bit shows scenes with the simple message, "BE READY," alluding to an oncoming power move from the Army itself. Given the house's militia members, our bets are on a Justin Bieber and Kendall Jenner pairing coming next.

While we never know what's up the sleeve of Rousteing, fronting Smalls and West in the campaign isn't a huge surprise. Smalls is a veteran of the brand and has walked in countless runway shows for the label as a bonafide member of the Army. She even sported a gorgeous silver Balmain dress for the 2016 Met Gala in May. West, along with the Kardashian-Jenner family, has had close ties with the designer for years. Not only did he star alongside wife Kim Kardashian in the spring 2015 menswear campaign, but Rousteing outfitted the entire Kardashian-Jenner clan (a small army in their own right) in head-to-toe Balmain for Kanye's Yeezy Season 3 show. Kendall Jenner has also made her mark with the French house. She opened the fall 2016 show and fronted the Balmain x H&M collection last year, solidifying her spot in Rousteing's inner circle.
