For his debut as newly appointed chief creative officer of Calvin Klein, Raf Simons is taking a new approach in presenting the brand. The designer will show his first menswears and womenswear collections in one runway show during New York Fashion Week on February 10.

His first show for Calvin Klein also marks the first time that Simons will present men's and women’s collections at once. While he has designed both womenswear and menswear in the past, his collections for Jil Sander were kept separate, and his namesake label has only been menswear.

With Simons’s decision, Calvin Klein joins fashion houses like Gucci and Tom Ford in nixing the traditional runway show format and adopting new methods in showing collections. Alongside presenting the two collections in one show, labels like Burberry have also adopted the see-now, buy-now format, and upcoming brands like Vetements have chosen to show outside of the traditional fashion show periods, most recently during Couture Week in Paris.

While many details of the show are still being kept under wraps, one thing is certain: Simons's debut at Calvin is already one of NYFW's most anticipated shows this season.
