Chanel Launches Its Fall 2020 Eyeglass Collection Online

Today, Chanel is exclusively launching its eyeglass collection online on chanel.com. Coming in as a second fashion product category (in addition to sunglasses), the new e-commerce range will be available for purchase in the United States.

With this accessory range, CHANEL.com is slated to bring the online shopping experience to a whole new level: clients are invited to shop the eyeglass collection via a tailored e-commerce experience that enables discovery by theme, frame shape, and color, also featuring a virtual try-on function along with a new optical size guide to help customers find their perfect style and fit. Once the perfect style is chosen, the new online shopping service will offer a list of local recommended opticians that are accessible through the store locator tool on the site to complete the prescription lens service. CHANEL.com patrons will also be offered additional services at recommended opticians: expedited prescription lens completion, eye exams, complimentary fittings and adjustments, and after-sales care.

As for the collection itself, it is largely inspired by Chanel’s emblematic tweed and offers styles designed with innovation and technology in mind. Using hypoallergenic titanium and melding the metal stricture into a fabric of woven metallic threads between two acetate plaques, the new capsule gives a metallic interpretation of tweed in silver, pale or antique gold titanium shades. Signature styles throughout the collection are also available with non-prescription strength blue-light filtering lenses.
