There are few performers on the planet that can boast a career as successful (and diverse) as Cher's. The 70-year-old entertainer has proved herself in nearly every medium of show business. Over the past five decades, she won a Grammy, Emmy, and Academy Award, sold over 100 million records, and with the help of some very talented doctors, disproved the theory of time.

Therefore it came as no shock when the Billboard Music Awards announced she would be the recipient of this year's prestigious Icon Award, for perhaps there is no better word to encapsulate the pop star turned variety show host turned actress. She will be joining the ranks of past winners such as Celine Dion, Stevie Wonder, and Prince.

And just when you thought it couldn't get any better — Cher will reportedly perform her turn of the millennium hit "Believe" on stage at the award show. In anticipation, we've taken the liberty of compiling a lesser known (but equally significant) facet of her legacy: her unfiltered Twitter presence.

Enjoy Cher just being... well, Cher.
