For the past four years, Carine Roitfeld has curated and hosted amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS runway show during the Cannes Film Festival—each year with a different themed collection. This year's charity fashion show was inspired by the disco era, with selected garments that were inspired by original disco icons like Liza Minnelli, Diana Ross, and Bianca Jagger. According to Roitfeld, "Each one has made her own contributions to the glamorous Studio 54 days through music, fashion, or modeling—and for defying what it meant to be a woman during that time." Models like Soo Joo Park, Doutzen Kroes, and Bella Hadid took to the runway at Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc to emulate these stars with Harry Winston jewelry and gowns designed by the biggest names in fashion. The jewelry and pieces from the collection were auctioned off at the end of the night, with all proceeds going towards amfAR's efforts to fund research and a cure for AIDS.
