Emma Roberts is starting the year off on a grateful note. The 29 year old American Horror Story actress posted a picture of herself holding her newborn baby last night via Instagram. And just in case you thought it couldn’t get any cuter, the mother and son duo were wearing matching outfits! 

“Thank you 2020 for getting one thing right,” wrote Roberts. “Our bright light Rhodes Robert Hedlund”. 

Roberts is pictured wearing a Stella McCartney minidress with a pleated neckline and puffed sleeves along with a pair of orange mules from Andrea Wazen. Her son, Rhodes, is wearing a tan knit hat with ears from Babe & Tess. 

According to TMZ, the Holidate star welcomed her first child along with boyfriend Garrett Hedlund on Sunday, December 27 in Los Angeles. This is the first public picture of the baby since reports of her pregnancy first came to light in August. 

The first time parents celebrated their pregnancy with a private baby shower back in October. Kristen Stewart, Never Goin’ Back actress Camila Morrone, and Lily Kershaw were reportedly in attendance. 

Roberts was also featured on last month’s cover of Cosmopolitan where she became the first pregnant woman to pose for the magazine’s cover. In the interview she spoke about her longtime dream to be a parent and her journey to pregnancy saying, “When I found out about my fertility, I was kind of stunned. It felt so permanent, and oddly, I felt like I had done something wrong.”

“I was so grateful to find out I was not alone in this. I hadn’t done anything ‘wrong’ after all,” she continued. 

On Instagram, stars such as Niecy Nash, Reese Witherspoon, Taylor Lautner, and Ashley Tisdale congratulated the couple in the comments.
