Fabrica, the renowned research center of Benetton Group, commemorated its 30th anniversary with a spectacular ‘FABRICA30 REUNION FESTIVAL’ on July 6th, welcoming the public to its architectural marvel in Treviso, Italy, designed by Tadao Ando.

From the early hours until midnight, Fabrica’s historic headquarters transformed into a hub of artistic expression, hosting a diverse array of exhibitions, concerts, DJ sets, lectures, workshops, performances, and screenings. The event showcased the works and experiences of over 800 former residents from 72 countries, spanning disciplines such as design, photography, video, music, writing, and journalism.

Central to the festival were enlightening lectures by celebrated alumni including Jaime Hayon, Pieter Hugo, Laia Abril, and Nico Vascellari, who shared their journeys and insights into the creative industries. Attendees immersed themselves in a transdisciplinary exploration of art, culture, and gastronomy, while contemplating themes ranging from the history of misogyny to the balance of beauty and asymmetry in art.

Musically, the festival was a testament to Fabrica’s global influence, featuring performances that ranged from the intercultural melodies of Elana Sasson and Ava Rasti to the mesmerizing electronic compositions of Uy Duc Tran and Hansi Raber. The evening culminated in a spellbinding performance by German duo OY, followed by pulsating DJ sets that kept guests dancing into the night.

The festival also unveiled the Spring/Summer 2024 residency exhibition themed ‘Kinship’, which transformed Ando’s architecture into a dynamic canvas of performances, installations, and sculptures, reflecting on communal bonds and global dialogues.

Beyond artistic displays, Fabrica nurtured intellectual exchange with workshops for all ages, including photography introductions by Namiko Kitaura and design thinking masterclasses by Nikola Tosic. The event also introduced new sustainable projects and community initiatives, underscoring Fabrica’s commitment to creativity and social responsibility.
