This past summer, in Baltimore, FKA twigs invited dancers to participate in a workshop with her and her dancers. From the five-hour intensive, twigs would choose a few participants to join her onstage at her performance that night. The entire thing was filmed by WeTransfer, and turned into a newly released mini-documentary, Baltimore Dance Project.

The singer has made her love for dance clear from the very beginning; it was, after all, her profession before moving into music. The opening voiceover hears the artist say, "I’ve always found it hard to communicate through words if I can’t connect with someone creatively then I can’t reach them and they can’t reach me."

During the pre-rehearsal pep talk, twigs tells the 400-strong crowd that “when things are difficult, art always flourishes” and that the event was not an audition, but a safe space to express oneself.
