Warning: spoilers ahead.

After Game of Thrones ended its unsurprisingly bloody sixth season on a victorious note for newly-crowned Queen Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) and Westeros-bound Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), the world waited for inklings of Season 7 details. Other than news of an Ed Sheeran guest appearance and season 8 being the series' last, we've not heard much until today.

In the newly dropped trailer, we see the warring queens of Westeros rightfully dominating the screen: an angry Cersei, still donning the now-iconic black gown that she wore when she blew up the Great Sept of Baelor with all her enemies in it, bemoaning enemies in every direction, Daenerys arriving at the gates of the continent she's dreamed of making her own.

Of course, outside of the war for the throne, we see snippets of the much greater battle for humanity: Jon Snow (Kit Harrington), newly-crowned King in the North, plots how to deal with the White Walkers. Intercut with scenes of Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) in the woods and her sister Sansa (Sophie Turner) shrugging off suggestions of betrayal from Littlefinger (Aiden Gillen), Ser Davos (Liam Cunningham) gives viewers a chilling reminder: "If we don't put aside our enmities we will die, and then it doesn't matter whose skeleton sits on the Iron Throne."

Perhaps the only other queen that can drop something of this caliber unannounced and set the Internet on fire is Beyoncé. Watch the explosive season 7 trailer below.
