During her worldwide AC!D Reign tour, in support of her album Art Angels, singer/producer/editor Grimes found time to shoot four music videos: “World Princess Part II,” “SCREAM ft. Aristophanes,” “Belly of the Beat,” and “Butterfly.” In a statement posted on her Twitter, Grimes says the videos are “guerrilla style vids, a la 'realiti,' so there was no crew, makeup, camera, lights.” This approach aligns well with the artist’s own music making, favoring DIY over all else.

That same statement says that the videos were filmed during the European leg of the tour and were shot by her brother, Mac Boucher, who has worked on past videos. Close friend and bandmate HANA also appears in the videos, and made music videos for her own solo project throughout the process, for tracks “Chimera,” “Underwater,” and “Avalanche.” While all videos can be viewed individually, there is a "Director's Cut," dubbed the AC!D Reign Chronicles, which has all seven combined.
