Since Alessandro Michele's takeover as creative director at Gucci, the brand's ads have featured everything from tigers and other exotic animals to flashy casinos and memes, so needless to say, we weren't surprised at the (supposed) new ad.

So far, Gucci has posted nine videos on Instagram featuring models dressed in prosthetics, face and body paint, and even sea monster costumes. Basically, the models look like they're straight out of Star Wars circa Episode II—but in Gucci. The sci-fi videos succeed the brand's meme ads that came out last month, pulling influence again from pop culture and the entertainment industry.

It is unclear if the videos are a preview of a larger Fall 2017 campaign, but in the very least, they're entertaining and something new. Watch the nine looks posted on Gucci's Instagram, and look out for either more videos, or the ad campaign, hopefully coming soon.
