Helmut Lang is set to undergo a renewal as it has recently appointed Dazed Editor In Chief Isabella Burley as the brand's editor-in-residence, who has in turn, recruited Hood By Air creative director Shayne Oliver.

"Helmut Lang is a pioneering company and we are going back to its heritage of being bold," Helmut Lang chief executive Andrew Rosen told BOF. Oliver, who is known for spearheading Hood By Air's eclectic, non-conforming styles is sure to offer insight and a fresh perspective to the Helmut Lang label by working on the upcoming capsule collection.

Following Hood By Air's abrupt fall 2017 Paris Fashion Week cancellation, industry insiders are curious to see what Oliver will do next. As far as the future of Hood By Air goes, a representative for label noted that, "Shayne is currently focusing his time on the special project with Helmut Lang. As a result, HBA will be continued but is transitioning to accommodate this. We will be releasing more information soon.” This news comes after the label's menswear creative director, Alexandre Plokhov, departed. The label's namesake designer also left the brand in 2005 to pursue art.

The Oliver and Helmut Lang capsule collection is set to be revealed in September of 2017 and will include menswear, womenswear and accessories. Burley is also expected to provide an onset of designers for future capsules.
