Hot on the heels of the first few releases from Twenty88 (Jhené Aiko and Big Sean's joint project), including the above short film, which shows an all new closeness between the two artists, things are about to get even more intimate. Boiler Room TV and Ray-Ban have teamed up for a series of musicians getting friendly with one another, and vmagazine.com has the exclusive.

Tomorrow night (Wednesday, April 13), music collective Soulection’ s picks for the musicians you should be listening to now including Aikowill DJ and perform at a TBA location in Los Angeles. The selection is strategic, too, in that these particular artists will have a lot to say about one another and their connection to the collective, and they will be encouraged to tell these stories to the audience and the camera. Aiko, Kali Uchis, BJ the Chicago Kid, and Soulection (Andre Power, SoSuperSam, ABJO, Sasha Marie, and Lakim) will be there, plus there's room for some surprise performances. Next week, we'll have all the footage and interviews with the guests of honor and you can only get them here first.

Open Your Heart is an activation geared towards celebrating a community’ s intrinsic focus on inclusivity, discovery, and storytelling. The stories that will be told during the first event of the series are about how Soulection, which started as a podcast and is now a Beats1 Radio Show with a cult following, found the performers on stage. For a first look at the first installation of Open Your Heart, including intimate conversations with the artists, stay tuned to vmagazine.com and @vmagazine.

In Los Angeles? Join Boiler Room x Ray-Ban for the night. RSVP here.
