With 60 plus years in the fashion industry, Karl Lagerfeld has worked with the best of the best luxury labels, not to mention spearheading his own. Today, designer takes a (miniature) step out of the fashion world to announce his partnership with Brandmark Collective, a relatively new Amsterdam-based hospitality company. The two will launch Karl Lagerfeld Hospitality, a branch of Lagerfeld-branded hotels, residential properties, restaurants, and private clubs.

Although this is his first namesake property venture, Lagerfeld is no stranger to designing interiors, having designed a pool inspired by Greek Mythology for Hotel Metropole in Monaco and lobbies for the Acqualina residences in Miami. Pierpaolo Righi, president and CEO of Karl Lagerfeld explains that the move to real estate and the hospitality industry is an aim to expand the “lifestyle experience” of the brand. We can conclude that Karl Lagerfeld chilling in a restaurant designed by himself is the epitome of a profound lifestyle brand.
