This week, model and actress Kate Upton took to Twitter to defend her fiancé, baseball star Justin Verlander, who she claims was robbed of his American League Cy Young Award. Specifically, she attacked two sports writers for leaving the Detroit Tigers catcher off their voting ballots.

Upton wasn't wrong; her boyfriend did receive the most first-place votes, but unfortunately for him, the ballot system is weighted, with each voter ranking their top five contenders. Verlander lost to the Boston Red Sox' Rick Porcello, who was ultimately unaffected by the twitter rampage: “I honestly don’t care,” he told ESPN. “I’m not the one that made that decision, as far as who wins the Cy Young. All I know is I’ve got a lot of people around me right now that I love very much and have been instrumental in my success getting to this point."
