UpdateFollowing significant public pushback, Pepsi has pulled the ad campaign and released the following statement.

Kendall Jenner is the newest spokesperson for Pepsi, joining a long list of iconic artists and models who have represented the brand, including Britney Spears, Beyoncé, and idol and mentor Cindy Crawford. The V105 cover star is the face of the brand’s "Moments" campaign, starring in a short video called “Jump In.”

The ad, filmed in Bangkok, sees Jenner (in a blonde wig, no less) becoming distracted by an impromptu parade on the street while working before deciding to spontaneously join in on the fun, embodying Pepsi's message to “Live For Now.” The campaign seeks to encourage people to live in the moment in spite of social media craziness around them.

“I think a lot of people are caught up in whatever’s happening in someone else’s life and they’re not really paying attention to what’s happening right in front of them most of the time,” she said to WWD. The ad seeks to destroy that pattern and become another successful celebrity campaign to join the lexicon of famous Pepsi ads. Watch below.
