Fast fashion retail powerhouse H&M has become famous for its sought-after designer collaborations that bring high end luxury labels to the mainstream market. Each November, men, women, and children wake up at the crack of dawn to wait in hour long lines for early access to the coveted collections before they disappear (typically on the day they release). Popular past collaborations have included Balmain, Alexander Wang, Versace, Lanvin, Margiela, Karl Lagerfeld, and more.

H&M will be continuing their tradition this year, teaming up with LVMH brand Kenzo for the retailer's newest collaboration. This choice shouldn't come as much of a surprise to anyone; Carol Lim and Humberto Leon have made their line pervasively popular with both their own high end retail chain, Opening Ceremony, and numerous other collaborations (most recently with the launch of The Jungle Book film). Carol Lim told Vogue: "Collaborations are part of our DNA through Opening Ceremony. We’re in company with a great list of people who’ve done [collaborations with H&M], and it felt like a nice platform, to do something in a really big way. It felt like we could make a large impact doing something with them."

The collection will hit stores and online on November 3, with an exclusive runway show sometime in October. If past parties are any indication, it will likely be a spectacle to remember (Alexander Wang's line had Missy Elliott perform, and Versace offered an intimate performance by the late great Prince).
