Last night, KENZO and H&M staged a fashion spectacular with a runway show for Carol Lim and Humberto Leon’s new collaboration with the mega retailer. The evening was directed by legendary art director and fantastical image-maker Jean-Paul Goude.

In lieu of a straightforward runway, the audience—which included campaign stars Chance The Rapper, Chloë Sevigny, Iman, and more—was seated in a square arena where they watched an eclectic mix of dancers, beatboxers, musicians, and models in a high energy routine choreographed by Ryan Heffington (the man behind Sia's music videos) set to a Sam Spiegel "Express Yourself” remix. The song and its accompanying routine were the perfect message for celebrating the collection, comprised of loud, eclectic prints in every vibrant hue imaginable.

“Tonight was a celebration of everything we love about KENZO x H&M—it was a fun, vibrant, unexpected and celebratory mix of different worlds coming together. It was a show we will never forget,” says Lim and Leon.

It was only fitting that the show’s finale immediately turned into a runway dance party in which the entire audience was invited to participate before Ice Cube ultimately took the stage.
