Prepare yourself for a psychedelic experience.

The directorial debut of Laura and Kate Mulleavy (the sisters behind Rodarte) sees longtime friend Kirsten Dunst in a hazy, '60s-tinged film set in a small, forest town. The quiet, but ominous, surroundings coupled with the ambient soundtrack set the stage for a truly haunting performance.

The film follows Dunst's character, Theresa, who begins experiencing bouts of psychedelic hallucinations and paranoia following her use of a mind-altering drug, and a traumatic event. Glimpses of that catalytic moment play out in the trailer below. There is even a momentary glimpse of indie-film favorite Jack Kilmer, son of Val Kilmer, who starred in The Nice Guys and Palo Alto.

Woodshock is expected to be released on September 15, through A24.
