Here we go! Lady Gaga is only days away from releasing her highly anticipated album Joanne, but she has one more surprise to roll out. Today, she officially released “A-YO,” a track that she previously debuted live during the first stop of her Dive Bar Tour in Nashville, and it's just as much of an attitude-fueled stomper on record as it is live.

The track, produced by Mark Ronson, BloodPop, and Gaga, with contributions from “Million Reasons” co-writer Hillary Lindsey, is the ideal soundtrack for your next revved-up dive bar bash. Gaga seamlessly glides atop the funky bassline, clap-along drumbeats, and electric guitar swishes—her vocals sounding raspier and sassier than ever before. In typical Gaga fashion, “A-YO” is packed to the brim with hooks, from the opening “Here we go!” to the melodic “mirror on the ceiling” chorus to the closing ad-libs. It’s a dangerously catchy and effortlessly funky take on your average honky-tonk anthem that remains a Gaga pop classic at its core.

Gaga's recent dabble in country-leaning tunes, including the previously unveiled ballad "Million Reasons," makes sense with country songwriter Lindsey on board. But don't expect the entirety of Joanne to follow in the same vein: Gaga always has new tricks up her sleeve.
