Lady Gaga is making the most of her time at Coachella. Aside from headlining the music festival and releasing a new single, the pop star is set to film scenes for her A Star Is Born reboot, directed by Bradley Cooper.

The film, which will mark Cooper's directorial debut, will follow Gaga as Ally—an up-and-coming singer who finds big time success while her lover and mentor's career subsequently dwindles. In an Instagram post, Gaga upped the anticipation surrounding the film, writing to fans: "I am so excited to star in my first movie alongside someone I'm so lucky to call my friend. I always wanted to be an actress on the big screen. The story of "A Star is Born" is so special and I'm so grateful to Bradley for making my dream come true. Can't wait for you to meet Ally. She has her first scene in 5....⏰"

Cooper, who also stars in the film, is set to direct concert scenes this week at the Empire Polo Club in Indio (where Coachella takes place) on April 18 and 19. Gaga is also reportedly working on new music to accompany the film's soundtrack.

A Star Is Born is set to release on September 28, 2018.
