Usually, Lady Gaga’s mantra goes “don’t be a drag, just be a queen”—except when she’s judging on RuPaul’s Drag Race, where the best of both wins. In what is up there for the best news of 2017 thus far, the pop star took to Twitter to announce that she will be a guest judge on the first episode of the reality show’s upcoming season this March.

The sneak peek shows Gaga in her natural element, leading the proceedings and greeting the 13 hopeful contestants in inflated shoulder pads and an embroidered nude catsuit. Frankly, we’re just shocked this didn’t happen sooner, considering her friendship with RuPaul and how natural it feels to have Gaga on the show.

The RuPaul gig is yet another event in the ever-expanding world of Lady Gaga. In a surprise twist, she’s also gearing up to take the Grammys stage with Metallica on Sunday. After her collab with Tony Bennett in 2015 and tribute to David Bowie last year, is it safe to consider her a fixture at music's big night?

If you thought that she was going to take a break after giving a brilliant performance at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, think again. She’s also preparing to film her lead role in A Star Is Born and head out on the Joanne World Tour later this summer.
