The reviews are in for Suicide Squad—DC's latest film foray starring Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, and more as villains-turned-heroes—and apparently, it's a mess. Thankfully, there are a few fruits from DC's labor; the cast has made more than a few fashion statements at its premieres around the globe, and now, Grimes has released a new track featured on the soundtrack of the film.

Titled "Medieval Warfare," the song could easily be at home on her last album, 2015's Artangels, appealing to the singer's darker, borderline heavy metal sensibilities (recalling scream-heavy tracks like "Kill v Maim"). At the same time, it's not difficult to imagine Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn singing these lyrics in the shower: "Are you mad? Are you ugly? Can you kill someone with your hands?"

The song premiered on Zane Lowe this morning. When asked about moving into more film scoring work, Grimes responded, "In theory, but also everyone I know who has ever done it like brutally hated it and like highly recommends against it, so I feel a bit more fearful of it now...even from my brief experience working with music videos, when you're doing something where every second is costing thousands of dollars and hundreds to thousands of people, there's no room for improv and chill vibes."

Grimes goes on to say that she was "weeping" when she got the call about being featured, and was greatly looking forward to the film. Sigh. Us too, Claire. Listen to "Medieval Warfare" below, and stay tuned for the full soundtrack, which features an impressive lineup of Skrillex, Mark Ronson, Wiz Khalifa, Dan Auerbach, Eminem, Wiz Khalifa, and more.

Suicide Squad is in theaters this Friday, August 5.
