LOEWE released their new, colorful Paula’s Ibiza collection. A hedonistic vision of Creative Director Jonathan Anderson, the Spring/Summer 2022 collection is filled with sequins, bright colors, and creative cutouts.  

An ode to the escapism of Ibiza, LOEWE’s annual Paula’s Ibiza collection explores the many layers of personal freedom and infinite possibility that can be found on the island. This year, the focus is on Ibiza’s reputation as a world-class party destination, and the collection reflects that energy. “Hedonism has been on my mind a lot of late: fun, partying, moments spent together releasing good energies,” says Anderson. 

Designed to be totally liberating, the 2022 collection is sexy and carefree: “Quintessentially Ibiza,” as Anderson calls it. The collection includes some staple pieces like the dress, t-shirt, shorts, and knitted pullover, though all received upgrades from last year’s sunny, summer-centric collection. Crochet is a mainstay, while other materials like silk and denim get their moments as well. Bursts of glitter and sequins are met with bright prints, including surfing graphics from ‘LeRoy Grannis,’ alongside cactus motifs and playful geometric prints. Short hems and playful cutouts keep the collection firmly rooted in the party mindset. In tune with LOEWE’s ethos and the spirit of freedom Ibiza is known for, the entire collection is gender neutral.  

The real stars of the collection are the vibrant accessories, like sequined platform mules and denim clutches. Keeping the summer season in mind, woven straw and raffia are the main materials used for the accessories. Straw totes and buckets have been painted with sunset ombrè gradients and geometric patterns, while small leather goods feature marquetry cocktail motifs.  

The collection also includes the brand’s second Eau de Toilette, named LOEWE Paula’s Ibiza Eclectic. The fragrance is both woody and floral, with notes of orange flower absolute, night-blooming jasmine, Madagascan mandarin, Australian sandalwood, and black pepper. As expected, it is suited for both men and women. 

LOEWE partnered with photographer Gray Sorrenti to create a visual portfolio for the collection, shot at Casa Broners. The portfolio features models having fun at an endless party in the villas’ stark rooms, bringing the collection to life.  

The Paula’s Ibiza collection is available now in LOEWE boutiques and at dedicated popups at Holt Renfrew Vancouver on April 29th, Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills on May 4th, and LOEWE South Coast Plaza on May 16th.
