Lorde Announces New Tour in Support of 'Melodrama'

And it's sure to be spectacular.

This morning, amidst the U.K.'s General Election and the U.S.'s investigation into the president's ties to Russia, pop princess Lorde has announced her new tour. The juxtaposition of the timing has not been lost on her: "only in 2017 would one be launching a tour and watching comey testify at the same time," she tweeted shortly after.

Lorde has already given fans a taste of what to expect after performing at Coachella and Governors Ball. A massive windowed box full of dancers floats high above the stage and ultimately entraps the singer, too. It's a visual feast for any who have witnessed and will surely translate well into an arena. And with plenty more tracks to come off her sophomore album, Melodrama, the potential is endless. As an opener, newcomer Khalid will be hitting the road with her. So far only New Zealand, U.K., and Australian dates have been released, but she promises "this is just the beginning of course! so many more dates to be added."

In the meantime, catch a clip of Lorde performing lead single "Green Light" at Coachella.
