Every year, fashion conglomerate LVMH gives a major platform to rising designers by honoring one special pick with the Young Fashion Designers Prize. The selection committee has announced their shortlist of 21 emerging designers in consideration for the prize this year.

Delphine Arnault, executive VP of Louis Vuitton and head of the selection committee, said that they were inspired by streetwear and gender diversity when choosing which designers would be in contention. “Boldness is the keyword of the creations of these 21 young designers,” she said in a statement. “LVMH felt a duty to create this Prize that rewards young designers but above all nurtures tomorrow’s talent.”

The 21 designers will meet in Paris on March 4 and 5, where an esteemed panel of 45 designers, models, journalists, and entrepreneurs will whittle down the shortlist to eight finalists. Notable panelists include Karlie Kloss, V105 cover star Kendall Jenner, V editor-at-large Derek Blasberg, and Mr. V himself, editor-in-chief Stephen Gan.

A jury of  designers and editors including Marc Jacobs, J.W. Anderson, Riccardo Tisci, and Maria Grazia Churri will award the winner on June 16th. See the shortlist of finalists below and full list of panelists here.
