Zayn Malik confirmed on the album

Now that M.I.A.’s album AIM has a release date (Sept. 9 on Interscope), despite her U.S. visa denial, we’re getting a taste of what's to come—and it’s big. Has she ever released anything less?

The singer released “Bird Song (Blaqstarr Remix),” and promised an alternative version of the track produced by Diplo. The producer and M.I.A. were once famously dating, and had not been on speaking terms for years. The release of their collaboration will be their first since 2010. Blaqstarr also co-produced the previously released “Go Off” with Skrillex.

Recently, M.I.A. confirmed that former One Direction member Zayn Malik will feature on the album, specifically a track called “Freedun.” They initially linked up over WhatsApp.
