In a recent interview with Charlie Rose, DJ and producer Mark Ronson hinted at an alternative approach Lady Gaga is taking with her upcoming album. Speaking of honesty and authenticity, he touched on the fact that Gaga is “happiest when she’s sitting at a piano barking orders at a drummer,” and the world is yet to truly experience this naturalistic side of her.

From this, we can expect that the highly-anticipated follow-up to 2013’s ARTPOP will be much more raw, experimental (at least in terms of genre) and as Ronson described, “analog.” The producer’s comments come shortly after his performance with Lady Gaga at the Met Gala, where the artist had reportedly learnt guitar solely for the performance.  Her forthcoming album aims to replicate this pure and unconfined love for making music, likely shifting away from Gaga pop of the past, and opens up a world of possibilities.
