Today, with the rollout of its Big Shot Mascara campaign, Maybelline has announced its first male face, Manny Gutierrez. The campaign, dubbed That Boss Life, also sees Shayla Mitchell, a fellow beauty blogger. Fellow Maybelline ambassadors include Gigi Hadid, Jourdan Dunn, Adriana Lima and Christy Turlington.

Gutierrez, who goes by Manny MUA on social media, has 3 million followers on Instagram—serious clout in today’s consumer market. On amassing his legion of devotees, the artist tells People, “People think that it takes so much to start a channel but it really doesn’t. You just need to create an account. You can film on your freaking iPhone; it doesn’t matter, you just have to actually start it.”

The move follows CoverGirl’s October announcement of makeup artist James Charles as a brand ambassador. Fellow CoverGirl Katy Perry had the honor of announcing her newest beauty team member on Instagram.
