LVMH has announced the 8 finalists for the 2017 LVMH Prize, which is awarded to a young up-and-coming designer with immense promise and vision.

Established in 2013, the LVMH prize looks to support and celebrate designer talents from around the world by providing them with a platform to receive mentorship by some of the fashion industry's best. The finalists are selected by a jury of industry experts including Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Jacobs, Riccardo Tisci and J.W. Anderson, amongst others.

The 8 finalists are Yoon Ahn (Ambush), Antonin Tron (Atlein), Marine Serre (Marine Serre), Molly Goddard (Molly Goddard), Nabil El Nayal (Nabil Nayal), Cecilie Rosted Bahnsen (Cecilie Bahnsen) and Maria Kazakova (Jahnkoy).

In past years, the LVMH Prize has been awarded to young designers, such as Hood By Air's Shayne Oliver and Jacquemus' Simon Porte Jacquemus, who have all gone on to have successful fashion careers. This year's finalists will receive "a grant of 300,000 euros and personalized technical and financial support from the Group for a 12-month period" following their win. The LVMH expert panel this year will consist of Delphine Arnault and Kendall Jenner.

The final decision is set to take place at the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris on the June 16th.
