Miley Cyrus and the Flaming Lips have just released a new collaboration, "We A Famly." Released via Apple Music, the track is featured on Oczy Mlody, the Flaming Lips's forthcoming album, which drops next Friday. Cyrus and the band have collaborated before on Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz, music videos for the tracks "Lighter" and "BB Talk" (both from the Dead Petz album), as well as the holiday track "My Sad Christmas Song" in 2015. Cyrus and the band also performed at V's Art Basel party in Miami in 2014 (you can relive that experience in the slideshow down below)

Wayne Coyne, the lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter for the band, released the following statement about the new track: "... at first this song was intended to be part of the Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz record.. Then we (her and us) lost interest in it... It was, back then, very slow and serious... But after speeding it up (a lot) and adding the galloping “We A Famly” sing-a-long bit we thought it was dorky enough and fun enough to present to the world.  And... We (Cyrus and us) really do say to each other, all the time, 'We A Famly.'”
