A Brand New Tropical Tune From The Danish Artist

A Brand New Tropical Tune From The Danish Artist

MØ may have just released the pop anthem of the summer—really. Last night, the Danish singer premiered "Final Song" on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show, featuring a bubbly chorus, light rhythm and snappy beat.  While the title may suggest morbidity, the tropical-flavored cut is inspired by the act of pushing through trying times and essentially, harnessing one’s inner power—how painfully positive.  MØ elaborated in a press release:

“‘Final Song’ is about reconnecting with your inner strength. With your inner glow, passion, spirit animal, whatever—the force that keeps us going and doing what we love. I wrote it with MNEK and Noonie Bao—both of whom I adore—in Los Angeles earlier this year. We all need to feel empowered from within to be the best version of ourself, but it’s not always easy and that’s what inspired me to write these lyrics. When you’re united with your inner glow you can beat the fears and fly towards your dreams.”

We last heard from the artist when she was busy unleashing October’s "Kamikaze," her third Diplo collaboration following the smash hit "Lean On" and "XXX 88." Now, focusing on her solo work, it seems MØ has some sparkly, sunny tunes up her sleeve.  So, whilst a stream of artists seem to be levitating towards experimental, emotion-driven material, "Final Song" serves as a refreshing and twinkly burst of fun, bound to earn its place on every summer playlist.  Listen to "Final Song" above.
