Beach House Detail Their Forthcoming Album

Beach House are set to release their new album B-Sides and Rarities on June 30 with Sub Pop, and have started giving details. The 14 tracks are a collection of music that didn't make the cut of previous records, but now have a new home—hence the album title. The album's lead single is "Chariot," which the band shared alongside the announcement. 

Beach House have said, “the idea for a B-sides record came when we realized just how many non-album songs had been made over the years, and how hard it was to find and hear many of them.” Unlike some B-sides albums, these are not songs with any less commercial value, but rather ones “that didn’t have a place on the records we were making.”

Several songs included have been heard in unfinished and unmastered states, while others have served as “secret” songs for previous records. The oldest track on the album is “Rain in Numbers,” made before the band had a piano in the summer of 2005, during their formation.

Their recently updated 2017 tour dates include New York's Governors Ball, and a show in September with Fleet Foxes. Take a listen to “Chariot” below:
