A New Lana Del Rey Collab with The Weeknd Is on the Way

We feel it coming.

We feel it coming.

It's no secret that Lana Del Rey loves the Weeknd; the singer made appearances on the Weeknd's last two albums, Beauty Behind the Madness ("Prisoner") and Starboy ("Party Monster" and "Stargirl Interlude"). Now, it appears that the Weeknd will be returning the favor with a new collaboration on Del Rey's next album, due this year.

A new song called "Lust for Life" has surfaced on the ASCAP database (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers), with Del Rey listed as the performer and Abel Tesfaye credited as a writer. The new information comes just a few days after the singer tweeted this:

Considering "XO" is the name of the Weeknd's record label, the tweet makes a compelling case that the track may be coming soon. The collaboration is certainly in line with Del Rey's direction for the album and its first single "Love," the video for which sees the singer performing on the moon (while Tesfaye's most recent video for "I Feel It Coming" is set on a Mars-like planet). Stargirl and Starboy forever!
