The subject of diversity has been a focal point in the fashion industry within the past year, with many entities exploring variations in size, beauty, and ethnicity—the latest being Giorgio Armani, which has just released its "New Normal" campaign. By having models of different backgrounds wearing similar pieces, it promotes unity, and the idea that everyone has the ability to look stunning in a piece in their own way. It's a normal that by any means should not be new, but unfortunately, for all its forward-thinking, fashion hasn't been the quickest when it comes to diversity and inclusion.

The images were photographed by Peter Lindbergh and feature the ultimate squad of high-profile models: Liu Wen, Elisa Sednaoui, Liya Kebede, and Amanda Murphy. Mr. Armani said: "I wanted to show different types of beauty, without barriers—four young women who experience the present in their own ways." The designer also feels that the definition of elegance has changed throughout the years, believing that this new campaign delves into a newfound effigy of modern beauty.
