One week after the brand's successful Spring 2017 men's show in Paris, Balenciaga debuted its latest campaign for the women's Fall 2016 line on Twitter and Instagram this morning. Shot by Mark Borthwick, the campaign showcases street style with a hint of glamour, and is the first campaign under the creative direction of Demna Gvasalia. Featuring the brand's signature oversized garments, the models showcase the collection's sophisticated sportswear look.

What also sets apart the campaign is Borthwick's photography. A well-known fashion and art photographer, his shots are typically simplistic yet characterized by his over-saturation of the photos with an emphasis on color. While the campaign photos are very muted, the minimalism accompanying the styling makes it clear Borthwick left his mark on the series.
