Earlier this week, Dior released its Fall 2016 ad campaign featuring model Julia Nobis photographed by Steven Meisel. Presented against a simple gradient grey background, all eyes are on Nobis—and her billowing, lifelike garments. Perhaps this motion is a nod to the massive "winds of change" the house has faced in the past year—notably, the departure of creative director, Raf Simons. It's also possible that the house simply wishes to represent their brand as a more wearable line for the modern working woman.

The garments featured are bold yet classic, edgy yet refined, and Nobis represents these pieces well. It's without question that Dior still has it: this collection is particularly strong, textural and graphic. Only time will tell, however, if the new soon-to-be announced creative director will continue to lead Dior to supremacy.
