Gucci has turned Rome into a jungle for the brand's Spring 2017 ads. The campaign, shot by renowned fashion photographer Glen Luchford, sees models parading around the historical city with lions, tigers, and leopards in tow, donning statement pieces from Alessandro Michele’s '70s-inspired collection. Things go slightly bananas as a tiger snacks on a handbag and models feed a giraffe as they dine al fresco in the old Italian plains. But in Gucci's wonderland, this is just another normal day.

“Inspired by generations of intellectuals and artists that considered Rome to be their home town, some by birth, others through cultural adoption, this campaign is an homage to personalities like Cy Twombly, Mario Schifano and Laura Betti,” the campaign description says.
