Last night on Instagram, Marc Jacobs began rolling out its striking ads for the brand's F/W '16 collection. With strobes of neon and a stroke of gothic styling, the leather-heavy line is modeled by a string of rising talents, as well as English singer and artist, Genesis P-Orridge. Marc Jacobs explained that "For [him], Genesis is a sort of come-to-life definition of realness and authenticity and how being lost in an experience or new idea can result in growth and evolution." Posing as a star of the campaign, she emulates a haunting beam of feminist power, discovery and beauty.

"In a continuing series of portraits for our Fall 2016 ad campaign, the individuals in these photographs represent a collective embodiment of love, honesty, integrity, courage, strength, curiosity and inspiration. Together, as one story, this collection is a reminder to question and challenge normal and to continue exploring and pushing boundaries."

Unexpected casting choices, joined by the photography of David Sims and styling of Katie Grand, has become a staple of Marc Jacobs. Past campaign stars have included Cher, Kim Gordon, Debbie Mazar, Beth Ditto, and Lana Wachowski. View the Fall 2016 ads, so far, below.
