To celebrate its 30th anniversary, luxury eyewear brand Oliver Peoples tapped Peter Lindbergh to shoot a star-studded campaign. Titled "Desert Stories," the narrative follows four friends—Amber Valletta, Alex Lundqvist, Levi Dylan, and Jac—as they traverse the picturesque landscapes of the Mojave Desert and discover an oasis in the form of a rustic American diner.

“When conceptualizing the campaign and story surrounding this milestone year for Oliver Peoples my mind went back to the beginning. When Oliver Peoples was founded in 1987, the brand challenged the ostentatious eyewear trends of the era with its decidedly classic aesthetic,” says creative director Giampiero Tagliaferri.“This was around the same time Peter Lindbergh was rising on the scene and changing fashion's view of beauty through his raw and minimalist photography. His ability to capture a story in his subjects' eyes makes him a perfect fit to shoot eyewear.”

A perfect fit indeed; the resulting narrative is a fitting tribute to Americana, from a mainstay American brand and photographer. Take a look at the campaign below, along with a behind the scenes video that shows what goes into the creation of the instantly iconic collaboration.
