When packing for a summer getaway, you always want to pack as light as possible. This is particularly true in terms of beauty products, which can not only weigh down your bag immensely but cause you trouble at TSA. However, this opens up a whole market for multi-use products, things for the girl (or guy) on the go who wants to look fantastic but doesn't necessarily have the room for an entire makeup and skincare kit in their carry-on. Fortunately, Ouai, the haircare brand made famous by both its Wave Spray and the fact that it was founded by Kardashian hairstylist Jen Atkin, has given us the perfect summer multi-use oil in their new Rose Hair & Body Oil.

Honestly, if you're not used to using an oil on your hair, this one may throw you at first. You'll wonder if your hair looks greasy–it doesn't, and when paired with a salt spray like Ouai's aforementioned bestseller or the one from Herbivore Botanicals, will give you perfectly shiny and tousled waves that make you look like you stepped straight out of the ocean, with or without a beach in sight. The same combination and a little more scrunching can also give you the grunge-chic Courtney Love look, if you're willing to go for it. Best of all, the oil actually helps lock in moisture and nourish your hair; it's perfect for negating the drying effect long term use of salt sprays tends to have on your hair.

As far as body oils go, it's a leader in the pack too. The blend of Rose Hip, Shea, and Absinthium oils leaves a lasting, moisturizing shine on your body without being oily or greasy to the touch, which is great considering nobody wants to feel like they've lathered themselves in butter, and too many body oils leave you feeling sticky and slimy. The scent is heavenly–it's a combination of Rose, Bergamot, Lychee and White Musk, which is as invigorating as it is inviting. Trust that you'll want to use it as a daytime product when you use it on your body; past the awakening aromatherapy the scent brings to the table, you'll want to be showing as much skin as possible, as the oil's illuminating powers will make you feel like royalty.

That said, the Rose Hair & Body Oil, which retails for $32 on Ouai's website and at Sephora–in case you want to stack those Beauty Insider points–amongst other places, isn't just for vacation, it's low-maintenance and subtle enough that it's perfect for everyday use too. And who doesn't want eternally shiny and healthy skin and hair?
