Creative icon, Pharrell William’s digital first auction house, Joopiter, expands into the world of luxury vehicles with their first automobile auction titled “Joyride”. The auction house was founded on the principle of opening up the auction experience to all types of collectors by removing traditional barriers of entry. Their site focuses on not only commerce but building a community around the love of these rare offerings that all contain a storied background. The auction is put on in partnership with Morton Street Partners to transfer the digital to the physical world in their West Village space.

Tackling the automobile world, the house’s seventh auction contains a collection of eleven cars that represent the peak of classic engineering and design. Rare models from brands like Porsche, Ferrari, BMW, Mitsubishi, Lancia, Mercedes-Benz and Nissan all complete this luxury collection. Sourced from the 80s and 90s, all the vehicles are pulled from a time with stellar craftsmanship unable to be replicated today.

“JOOPITER is excited to join forces with Morton Street Partners as we enter the collectible car market,” explains Cailtin Donovan, Head of Global Sale at JOOPITER, in a statement. “Joyride has been curated to appeal to new and traditional collectors alike, with an underlying focus on art, popular culture, and current market trends. Morton Street Partners’ invaluable knowledge of the traditional automobile, art and design markets has resulted in a modern approach to the traditional category, with participation from a group of celebrated New York based collectors.”
