The holy grail of Taylor Swift’s voodoo doll collection, Kanye West, went to Trump Tower this morning to have a meeting with President-elect Donald Trump. As usual, the Internet collectively burst into flames, devastated and perplexed that Yeezy would take time out of his recovery to meet with Trump.

Before his tour cancellation and subsequent hospitalization, the hopeful 2024 presidential candidate publicly proclaimed that he would have supported Trump in the election had he voted. Seeing as the President-elect will latch onto anyone that gives a half-assed smile in his direction, and given Kanye’s egotistical nature, it’s no surprise they met up for some good ol' fashioned bro-to-bro ego-boosting at the golden tower of excess.

Because the Internet moves fast, the world immediately speculated about what the dynamic and attention desperate duo could have been discussing. Will Kanye be the lone performer at Trump's inauguration? Was he trying to install the first Yeezy retail store in the Tower? Were they exchanging tips and tricks for getting more attention on Twitter? Following the meeting, Trump and Kanye were as smug as ever, refusing to reveal much to the press.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Kanye only said, “I just want to take a picture right now.” Think about how the world would be today if he’d given that same respect to Taylor instead (happy birthday, Taylor!). In return, Trump called Kanye a “good man” and stated that they were longtime friends (receipts, please!).

When pressed on what they spoke about, Trump said they simply “discussed life.” The same man who stated that he doesn’t have the time to attend every intelligence briefing granted his precious time to Kanye West to speak about “life.” In Trump’s America, it’s do as I say, not as I do.

Later in the day, Kanye took to his favorite social media platform to clarify his goals in meeting with Trump. The tan clothing aficionado wanted to discuss "multicultural issues" with Trump, meaning bullying, improvements in public schools, and violence in Chicago.  While these are certainly noble intentions, and far from the worse case scenario, he still couldn't resist tweeting #2024 at the end of his otherwise gracious explanation.
